Excellent Italian Spaghetti and Meatballs

Serves 2-4

  1. In large saucepan, over medium to high heat, sauté your Excellent Meatballs in the oil for 6 to 8 minutes until brown. Remove the meatballs from the saucepan.
  2. Add your onions and garlic to your saucepan and then sauté for 4 to 6 minutes until translucent. Add in the tomato paste, beef stock, oregano, basil, brown sugar and allow to simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. Add in your meatballs for the last 10 minutes of simmering.
  4. Remove the sauce from the heat and serve on a bed of spaghetti.

To garnish: sprinkle with chopped / whole fresh basil and cheddar or pecorino cheese

  • 2 tbls / 30ml Olive oil
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 pkt Excellent Meatballs
  • 1 tbls / 15ml Garlic, crushed
  • 50g Tomato paste
  • 2 cups / 500ml Beef stock
  • 1 tbl . 15ml Worchester sauce
  • ½ tsp Oregano, dried
  • ½ tsp / 2.5ml Basil dried
  • 1 tbls / 15ml Brown sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 pkt Spaghetti, cooked according to packet instructions
  • To Garnish: Basil and Grated Cheddar / Pecorino cheese
